Greater Swiss Mountain Dog :
The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is a descendent of Roman Molossian dogs and one of four Swiss mountain dogs along with the Bernese, Entlebucher, and Appenzeller. It is a large muscular dog with an imposing build and is famous for its dense vibrant tricolor coat (black, rust, and white markings).
These dogs are alert, confident, and strong workers; they are at their best when they are working and are always ready for it so Keeping this working breed active is important.
They are tough and powerful but still are gentle, playful companions, and sweet-natured.
They will protect their territory and their people as they are territorial with a very strong pack instinct and are watchful dogs devoted to their families and protective of them.
Although this breed is mostly easygoing, they tend to be stubborn but it’s not particularly aggressive. Training is important for them and they enjoy a good play session, but also like to relax.
